Noted project management expert Thomas Lechler

Thomas Lechler specializes in project and innovation management, entrepreneurship, organizational structure and development, research methods and design, and applied statistics. The founder and CEO of Vivatech GmbHu. Co. KG, Lechler has also consulted for Mercedes Benz, Siemens, Schenck, SKL, Gaggenau Werke, IBM, Deutsche Flugüberwachung, and Lufthansa. Before coming to Stevens, he taught at Berlin University of Technology and at Karlsruhe and Dresden Universities. The author of Erfolgsfaktoren des Projektmanagements (P. Lang, 1997) and with H.G. Gemuenden, Gründerteams: Chancen und Risiken für den UnternehmenserfolgErgebnisse einer Befragung (2001), Lechler has also published a number of research papers in the management literature. In 1997, he received the German Association of Project Management Award for the Best Dissertation and in 1999, he was given the Best Paper Award at the Rent 13 Conference in London. Lechler earned both his Master’s in Engineering and Management and his Ph.D. at Karlsruhe University.
