Susanne Wetzel is a cryptography and algorithmic number theory expert
Susanne Wetzel is an Assitant Professor in Stevens' Computer Science Department. She received her Diploma in Computer Science from the University in Karlsruhe, Germany and her doctoral degree in Computer Science from Saarland University also Germany. Subsequently, she worked at DaimlerChrysler Research in Stuttgart, Lucent Technologies-Bell Laboratories, and RSA Laboratories in Stockholm. Prof. Wetzel's research is in cryptography and algorithmic number theory. In cryptography, her research focuses on wireless security, secret sharing, privacy, and biometrics, and her contributions range from analysis to protocol design. In algorithmic number theory, her research covers lattice theory, in particular developing new algorithms and heuristics for lattice basis reduction.
