Stephen Bloom is Director of the Computer Science Deptartment

Stephen Bloom is Director of Stevens' Computer Science Department and heads the WebCampus online program, Elements of Computer Science. At Stevens, Bloom began his career in the Department of Mathematics and became a Professor of Mathematics before turning to Computer Science.  In addition to publishing more than 90 research papers, he is the author of Iteration Theories: The Equational Logic of Iterative Processes (Springer-Verlag, 1993) and editor of Calvin C. Elgot's Selected Papers (Springer-Verlag, 1982). Bloom earned his B.A. from Swarthmore College and his Ph.D. from MIT--both in Mathematics.
