Patricia Sabosik, Elm City Consulting
Patricia E. Sabosik is President of Elm City Consulting, LLC, a firm specializing in the application of technology for information management and online learning. Patricia is an information industry executive with more than 20 years experience managing startup organizations and launching new brands for Fortune 1000 companies. Most recently, Patricia was Vice President and General Manager for Thomson Learning where she headed the Learning Labs, a new venture responsible for market assessment, applied research and strategic product development in online courseware focused on the post-secondary market segment. Prior to joining Thomson Learning, Patricia held senior management positions in large media and publishing firms. She was Vice President and Director of Global Marketing for Factiva, a Dow Jones and Reuters joint venture where she directed a global team responsible for marketing and communications strategy, pricing, new product requirements and channel development. As Executive Vice President for Reed Elsevier’s Electronic Publishing Division, she was responsible for strategic product development for ScienceDirect. She was the first General Manager of Elsevier’s ScienceDirect. Before her Elsevier post, Sabosik held business development and product management positions at America Online, directing AOL’s digital imaging strategy. Patricia has served on the Association of College and Research Libraries' Publications Committee and the Boards of Directors of the Literacy Volunteers of America and the Society for Scholarly Publishing. She is currently a member of the Software and Information Industry Association's Educational Technology Business Forum. Patricia holds a BA in English Literature from Kean College in NJ, an MBA from Seton Hall University, and a Certificate of Advanced Study in Finance from Fairfield University.
