Computer Architecture (CS514)

Measures of cost, performance, and speedup; instruction set design; processor design; hard-wired and microprogrammed control; memory hierarchies; pipelining; input/output systems; additional topics as time permits. The emphasis in this course is on quantitative analysis of design alternatives. Prerequisite: CS550 or equivalent.
